(if the animal comes from a country (zone) not recognized as being free from rabies,
make reservation for post-entry quarantine facility is required).
We recommend that you should prepare and apply earlier.
Considering the large number of applications for importing dogs and cats from countries (zones) not recognized as being free from rabies,
limited spaces of post-entry quarantine facility and fairness, the post-entry quarantine space will not be arranged by APHIA Branch until the necessary documents that required in quarantine requirements submitted
by the applicants are well prepared (supplemented) and accepted.
Refer to the import requirements, there is no any requirements request the applicants to book a flight before applying for import quarantine permit.
As for the priority of air tickets or applying for the import quarantine permit,
it’s influenced by many unexpected conditions. Therefore, applicants should evaluate their situation carefully.
